2022 kicked off as a busy year for Georgie Tunny as she worked between Sydney and Melbourne as fill-in for Carrie Bickmore on The Project while and anchoring a daily news broadcast on Foxtel’s streaming service Flash. By mid-year she was delighted to secure a full-time role as Journalist and Host for The Project to join Network 10 and move back to Melbourne.
Georgie started her Journalism career with the ABC where she was part of the ABC News Breakfast’s presenting team for four years. She took on roles as Sport Presenter, Weather Presenter and as Co-Host during the 2020 Bushfire emergency coverage and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her passion for sport saw her work also as a Reporter and Producer for ABC Melbourne radio and television. She was the Executive Producer of Offsiders: Summer Series.
