TV Host, Podcaster & Creator

Laura Byrne first captured the hearts of Australians when she appeared on The Bachelor Australia in 2017, where she met husband Matty J Johnson. Together, they are now proud parents to three daughters and one of Australia’s most loved media couples.

Alongside Britt Hockley, Laura is the creator and co-host of the hugely successful Life Uncut podcast, Australia’s number one relationships podcast and one of the country’s top overall podcasts. With more than 100 million downloads and a loyal national audience, Laura has become one of Australia’s most trusted voices in relationships, dating and modern life. Laura also spent four years hosting The Pickup on KIIS FM, further cementing her influence across radio and entertainment.

What began as a podcast has since evolved into a multi-platform brand spanning live tours, publishing and television. In 2022, Laura and Britt released their best-selling book We Love Love, followed by a hugely successful national live tour in 2023.

Laura has also become a familiar face on Australian television, appearing as a regular panellist on The Project and competing on Dancing with the Stars in 2023. Together with Matty J, she has also become a sought-after red carpet host, including coverage of the Logie Awards.

In 2026, Laura hosted the hugely successful and ratings-winning MAFS: After the Dinner Party on Stan alongside Jules Lund and Britt Hockley. The series became the number one show on the platform following launch, with its debut episode delivering Stan’s highest-ever single episode subscription driver within a 24-hour period.

Known for her authenticity, warmth and relatability, Laura has built a highly engaged online community and partnered with leading brands including THE ICONIC, Leggo’s, Seed Heritage, SkinCeuticals, Chemist Warehouse, Redken, Allen’s and Destination NSW. In 2024, she was announced as a summer campaign ambassador for Cancer Council Australia, and in 2025 Laura and Matty J became ambassadors for Shark Beauty Australia.

Beyond her media career, Laura is also the Founder and Creative Director of ToniMay, one of Australia’s leading bohemian jewellery brands, now stocked in more than 50 retailers nationwide. In 2019, she was awarded Fashion Designer of the Year at the Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards — a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision.
