Things are set to really heat up this summer when Sophie Monk & Matty Acton team up for The Summer Fling across KIIS Sydney and Melbourne.
Kicking off in December for the Summer break, the breakfast show will be packed with the hottest celebrity gossip, fun and fresh interviews and all the crazy breakfast antics you’d expect on KIIS from Sophie & Matty. This will be a Summer Fling to remember.
ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell explains the new show; “It may be a ratings rest period but we know that listening habits really don’t change over the Summer break. If anything, fans are actually listening for longer periods of time, so having a fantastic show on air is great news for both our audiences and advertisers.
“It’s also the perfect way for us to nurture and further develop talent within the network”, he adds.
Sophie, who has been working with KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O’s Breakfast Show this year on a series of fun ‘Double Dare’ segments, said she was excited to be back on breakfast for the summer.
“I am so pumped to be waking up Sydney and Melbourne with Matty for summer on KIIS. This is going to be a really fun show, packed with plenty of laughs, the perfect way to kick back over summer. Because who doesn’t love a bit of a cheeky Summer Fling?” Sophie said.
Listeners are used to hearing Matty in the afternoon as anchor for the national Hughesy & Kate Drive Show on KIIS, but Matty said he was looking forward to mixing thing up.
“Forget the long steamy nights, it’s all about the hot Summer mornings! I can’t wait to be hanging out with Sophie on the radio every morning. We’re going to have heaps of celebrity interviews, gossip and great guests to keep you entertained whether you are chilling at the beach or on your way to work.”
The Summer Fling can be heard from 6am to 9am weekdays on Sydney’s KIIS 1065 and Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1 from Dec 7 to January 8.
