By the age of four, Nikola could recite the entire The Sound Of Music movie, word for word. She was then cast as the angel in her kindergarten Christmas pageant and from then on knew she had found her calling as a performer.
Seventeen years later she graduated with a degree in music theatre at WAAPA where she appeared in productions of ‘Bye Bye Birdie’, ‘The Boys From Syracuse’, ‘Lysistrata’, ‘Working’, ‘Mrs Delvecchio Schwartz’ (a creative workshop written by Colleen McCullough and directed by Max Lambert), ‘And The World Goes Round’, (Directed by Nancy Hayes) and ‘My Favourite Year’. Numerous television credits followed include recurring roles on ‘The Secret Life Of Us’, ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘Stingers’, ‘Blue Heelers’, ‘Marshall Law’ and ‘Neighbours’ for which she was nominated as ‘best bitch’ at the ‘2008 Inside Soap Awards’. Nikola is featured in the independent feature film ‘The Unlit’ which is due for release later this year.
Other credits include the one-woman play Medea Redux in Neil Lebute’s ‘Bash’ (for which she received an honourable mention at the Melbourne Fringe Festival Awards), ‘You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown’ and ‘And The World Goes Round’ at Chapel Off Chapel, ‘Sing Along Jo Stanley’ (for the Melbourne Comedy Festival), ‘Merrily We Roll Along’
Nikola is also an accomplished pianist and jazz singer, having played in various five-star venues and cruise-ships across Europe, America, Australia and the Middle East. She is a regular at ‘The Improv Conspiracy’ where she plays with Improvised Comedy. Nikola has appeared in numerous television commercials and voice-overs.
