Radio Host, Presenter, Actor, Comedian

Mitch Churi is a comedian, podcaster, interviewer, actor, TV presenter, and in 2023 the newly announced co-host alongside Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne for KIIS FMs new national afternoon show, The PICKUP, on air every weekday from 3-4pm. And somehow on top of all this, he still finds time to host The Night Show with Mitch Churi, live every weeknight from 7PM on the KIIS, Oh and just to add to that impressive resumé of work, he also hosts the iHeartRadio podcast, ‘Is It Just Me?’

So, it’s really no surprise that the popular radio host took out Best Presenter at the 2022 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), and taking the #1 slot in Melbourne and Sydney, beating out heritage shows in the market. To say Mitch knows and understands radio land is a huge understatement. He’s also a regular fill-in for Kylie Sandilands and Jackie O for their Kyle and Jackie O show when they’re away – the most listened to FM radio show in Australia (800,000+ daily listens).

Mitch has emerged as one of Australia’s favourite pop culture interviewers, having exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names, including Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, John Legend, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa and The Foo Fighters.

Not afraid to be in front of the camera as well, Mitch hosted the ARIA awards live on Channel 9 in 2021, the ARIA’s pre-show in 2020, and in 2022 hosted the 62nd annual Logies pre-show live from the Gold Coast red carpet. He’s also brought his comedic value as a panellist on Channel 9 ‘s ‘Love Island Afterparty’, and guest hosted an episode for 9’s hit show ‘Beauty and Geek’ in 2022. A competent stand-up comedian, he performed in front of thousands of people when he opened the Life Uncut Live Show in Sydney in 2022, he back it up again in 2023 opening the Life Uncut Live shows on their national tour.  In 2023 Mitch MC’d MediaWeek’s inaugural Next of the Best Awards (where he was also nominated, and pick up Bronze in the audio talent category).

Mitch has worked with a number of brands including Snapchat, OpenTable and ChefGood.

Outside of hosting and presenting, Mitch is a trained stage and screen actor. He has studied at The Atlantic Acting School in NYC, studied improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in LA, studied comedy, writing and performing and the famed Groundlings Theatre in LA and completed NIDA short courses back home.
