Justin Gray was born and raised in country Western Australia, Justin (he/they) relocated to Melbourne to undertake his study at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Justin’s credits include ‘Elegies: A Song Cycle’ (dir. Tyran Parke), ‘Urinetown’ (dir. Trudy Dunn) and he is a two-time featured soloist in 2022 and 2023 for ‘Morning Melodies’ (dir. Tyran Parke, Jayde Kirchert) at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne. In their final year at the VCA, they played the roles of Professor Bhaer in ‘Little Women’ (dir. Theresa Borg) and JD in ‘Heathers’ (dir. Alister Smith). Justin is the proud recipient of the Dr Richard Simmie and Dr Andrew McAliece Prize for 2022 and is the winner of the Ron and Margaret Dobell Industry Award for 2023. Justin will make his Sydney debut as Ricky Potts in the upcoming production of Ride the Cyclone at the Hayes Theatre after a summer stint playing Ratty in The Wind in the Willows in the Melbourne Botanic Gardens
