Originally from Swindon, England, Alexander is a graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts, Acting Company 2016. His time at VCA saw him play Demetrius in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, dir. by Gary Abrahams, Trofimov in Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard dir. Melanie Beddie and Ball in Howard Barker’s Victory (dir. Hallie Shellam) as well as co-devising and staring in ‘Life on Repeat’ dir. by Justin Nott, at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2016.
Prior to this, he spent five years studying abroad in Singapore, pursuing another passion for sport in rugby union and golf. His life long ambition to forge a career as an actor however, drew him back to Sydney, and he completed a Diploma of Theatre & Screen Performance at Sydney Theatre School in 2012, and later moved to Melbourne to further his skills at VCA.
Alexander is also a skilled and feared poker player, playing regularly in tournaments where he has seen escalating success. He enjoys the psychological pitting of minds, understanding how people tick and finds it compliments his acting.
