Georgie Tunny will be Network Ten’s National Weekend Bulletin Host in 2026. She will also continue her work as a reporter for current affairs show 10News+ which replaced The Project, a program Tunny was a permanent member of from August 2022 until its cancellation in June 2025.
“From 2026, Georgie will bring that same depth, curiosity and editorial expertise to 10 News every weekend, leading the bulletin as it continues to deliver trusted news and insightful storytelling to Australians nationwide.”
Last week also saw the announcement of Allen & Unwin acquisition of Over to You by Georgie Tunny.
Over to You follows 3 women attempting to break into the Australian media industry. The novel draws on Tunny’s own experience as a former ABC presenter and anchor for Network 10’s The Project. “Over to You explores the experience of being a young female broadcaster and the complex friendships and relationships that can spring from working in the TV industry,” said the publisher.
