CHEF, AUTHOR, SUSTAINABILTY EXPERT
Chef, author and media personality Tobie Puttock has built an international career at the intersection of great food and meaningful impact. Having cooked around the world and worked closely with Jamie Oliver on landmark projects including Fifteen and Australia’s Ministry of Food, Tobie is known for combining culinary excellence with social purpose.
Now based in Melbourne, his focus has evolved toward food systems and sustainability — driving innovation in zero-waste kitchens, developing new products from discarded produce, and partnering with STREAT at the Moving Feast Kitchen within the Purpose Precinct at Queen Victoria Market. He is also the creator of the Circular Kitchen Accelerator, a practical framework helping hospitality businesses reduce waste, buy smarter, streamline systems and build more resilient, profitable kitchens – with wisdom that also translates to domestic settings.
Tobie began his career at Melbourne’s Café e Cucina before refining his craft in Italy’s Lake Como and across Europe, including London’s iconic River Café. In 2002, he reunited with Jamie Oliver as Head Chef of the original Fifteen Restaurant, the groundbreaking social enterprise training disadvantaged youth, later returning home to establish Fifteen Melbourne and its charitable foundation.
His media career spans hosting and cooking on television in Australia and internationally, with credits including Jamie’s Kitchen Australia, Tobie and Matt – Europe and Asia, Wonderful Indonesia Flavours, Healthy Cooks, My Market Kitchen, and multiple seasons as a guest judge on My Kitchen Rules. He is also the bestselling author of several cookbooks, including Daily Italian, Italian Local, Cook Like an Italian, The Chef Gets Healthy and SuperNatural.
Today, Tobie’s work is guided by one simple belief: smarter kitchens create better margins, stronger communities and a more sustainable future for food.
