Sophie Cheeseman has been performing from a very young age as an actor with strong vocal and dance skills. Having already completed a Diploma of Musical Theatre at APO Arts Academy, she continued her musical theatre training with a Bachelor’s degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2014. During her time at WAAPA, Sophie was privileged to play the role of Beth in Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, as well as Velma in West Side Story, and ensemble roles in Reefer Madness and HAIR. She has studied film acting training at both NIDA and WAAPA. Sophie appeared as Coco Lee in Neighbours in 2015 Three months after graduating from WAAPA, Sophie was cast in the Australian cast of The Sound of Music as an Ensemble member and cover for Liesl.
