Originally from Bathurst in New South Wales, Heidi Anderson is one third of hit92.9’s breakfast show, Heidi, Will & Woody.
Heidi studied Public Relations at university before heading over to London in 2006 to begin her career. Things didn’t really go as planned, for the first two years, she poured beers and managed a bar in Edinburgh before scoring a gig working in PR in London, where she stayed until 2010.
As she openly discusses, Heidi suffered from mental health issues and was diagnosed with anxiety soon after her return to Australia. That didn’t stop the bubbly blonde however and, in 2010, her sense of humour and rawness led her back to the world of radio.
Heidi skyrocketed to Australian television screens in 2013 when she was cast in reality show, Big Brother. Although people said they loved her on the show, she only worked up the courage to watch some of her episodes in 2016 … let’s just say she wish she hadn’t.
Before Big Brother, Heidi did her regional stint in radio moving around three different states, from Warrnambool to Bunbury and the onto Newcastle. Once she was booted out of the house Heidi joined hit92.9 for the brand new breakfast show with Will & Woody, and hasn’t looked back since. She brings her cheeky sense of humour, some colourful stories from her past, her passion for raw, real issues and empowering women. Heidi’s fearlessness even gained her a nomination for Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Female of the Year award for 2016 in the category of Radio Presenter.
She is a columnist for Perth Now, and Ambassador for AIME, runs her own website & YouTube channel; Real Heidi and in the past has appeared on The Project.
